Residential doctors strike action

At 7am on Tuesday April 7, Resident Doctors are due to begin their industrial action and are due to remain on strike until 7am on Monday, April 13.  We’re expecting it to be very busy and are appealing for people to help us by only attending our Emergency Department if it is truly an emergency. If it is life threatening call 999. There are alternatives if it is not an emergency, including NHS 111 or visit NHS 111 online, GPs and pharmacies.  We are doing everything possible to reduce the impact of strike action on patient procedures and appointments. If you have planned outpatient/diagnostic appointments, and treatment during this period, please continue to attend. We will contact you directly if your appointment/procedure needs to be rearranged.

Temporary suspension of home birth service

The Trust has temporarily paused its home birth service while it carries out a thorough review of how the service is delivered.
